I remember the first time I ever spoke with Linkiesta's Jacopo Barigazzi, many years ago, he asked my why Americans in places like Ohio seems to vote for those who seem more interested in helping the rich.
Soon after, the poster-boy for that idea came to prominence. During a campaign stop, he asked then-candidate Barack Obama about his plan to increase taxes on those making over $250,000 a year, claiming -- if I recall correctly -- that since he planned on purchasing a plumming business that the increase would affect him.
He became the sweatheart of the Conservatives, even though almost everything about him was a lie -- he was not the owner of a business, he was not even a licensed plummer. He's not even named Joe!
Now this guy, Samuel Wurzelbacher is running to join the House of Representatives from his home state, Ohio.
I know people from Ohio. They are good people. Can they possibly make such a bad choice. Again?
